I told a few friends the other day that the Seaside Heights fire sure looked like a classic “remodeling fire.” Since the time I was a kid, I’d noticed there was often fires on the boardwalk — but only in September, when the most profitable part of the season was over.
Finally, a grownup told me they were usually arson.
Well, the recent boardwalk fire has been declared a crime scene.
Insurance fraud? In New Jersey? On the Boardwalk? Incredible!
I believe the proper name for that is “(insert ethnic term here) lightning”.
