R.I.P. George Manney

George was a drummer, and he played with everyone in Philly — including Kenn Kweder. Nicest guy in the world. (He used to run the Tuesday night Last Minute Jam at the historic J.C. Dobbs. Everyone knew him.)

For years, he was working on another documentary about the Philadelphia music scene (he produced “Meet Me On South Street” a few years ago), and Michael Tearson has vowed to help George’s widow Su carry on. So there’s that.

Goodbye, George. You were a real good one.
