Because hurricane Isaias is on its way, all of Florida’s outdoor testing sites (and there are many, many of them) will be shutting down for several days.
So beginning next week the infection rate and the number of new positive cases should plummet in Florida like the national economy.
Without new testing data the positivity rate should fall to 5% or below, the safe zone, and allow Florida to “safely” open its schools.
At least that’s the way Governor DeSantis will probably see things.
