Because the oil/gas comp[anies and the automotive indusrty depend on you driving.
Because we spend more on our military than the next 10 countries combined. This is defense? No, it’s a declining superpower attempting to maintain global hegemony. By being the unquestioned best at blowing sh*t up: soldiers, civilians, children, countries, sheep, goats. You name it, we’re the absolute, unquestioned champs at obliterating stuff. And at manufacturing stuff whose purpose is to destroy, which adds absolutely nothing to the quality of life of US citizens.
