Jim Boggia live with Mike Viola. (Jim’s on the right.) Cos and I were there the first time he performed it in public - geeze, I think it was almost ten years ago. Anyway, his then-girlfriend (with whom he had a, uh, stormy relationship) was also there at La Tazza with her mother and Jim took great pains to say that although people often thought songs were about them when they were involved with songwriters, this song had nothing, no, nothing to do with real life. Off in the corner, we snickered; we knew better. He broke up with her shortly after.
