Turkana at the Left Coaster:
Because the corporate media always attack Democrats, and always do it dishonestly and unfairly, we Democrats should denounce them for it. Every time it happens. And it shouldn’t matter whether or not the Democrat being smeared is one we support. Barack Obama did not deserve what happened to him last night, and the behavior of the ABC questioners was deplorable. But Hillary Clinton has not deserved what’s happened to her in almost every other debate, particularly those involving the NBC family of political slime, and the behavior of the vast majority of the corporate media towards her has been almost uniformly deplorable.
It would be nice if last night would serve to wake up the Obama supporters who have been so devoted to destroying the Clintons that they have celebrated the media onslaught, and ignored the reality that it will be Obama’s turn, once Clinton is out of the way and Saint Maverick is the opponent, but I’m not holding my breath. For many, it would require a cataclysmic psychological paradigm shift to suddenly be capable of honesty and fairness, and to feel protective of two people who are, and have been for their entire adult lives, loyal Democrats.

your attempt to take the high road might wash if you hadn’t spent so much time playing dirty…
this link has some nice analysis of the ridiculousness of your recent attacks about rocky, “bitter,” elitism, etc.

IACF = It’s All Clintons Fault
thanks for the unique perspective.
Did you have something intelligent to contribute or are you merely satisfied to launder some of your latent CDS laundry?
The main stream media doesn’t play fair…who knew?
(other than the Clintons I mean)
I spent 8 years defending Bill though I considered him a Blue Dog DINO, because the attacks weren’t focused on substance (policy, decisions). I defended then and now similar kinds of attacks on Hillary and Barack. I do prefer Obama as the nominee, though he was about my fourth choice in the original field.
I do agree that I see a lot of hero-worship, projection and insulting personal attacks on botth candidates by some of the opposite camp’s supporters, and that they demean and insult - some show sexism and racism, even - and I’m opposed to that.
The only time I can understand taking it to the personal level is when someone orders troops into battle out of ideology, instead of the nation’s defense, or if one votes for legislation with a clear intent to promote hate, or otherwise displays a total lack of humanity.
Now I’ve seen lifelong loyal Democrats that I’ve felt no compassion for at all, so that’s not a useful definition of a character trait in my book. But the main point remains valid: we should fight bias in the media because it tends to be weighted against Democrats, no matter if you prefer another Democrat.
got it,
hrc spends a week jumping on bullshit re: “bittergate” and when a first hand account from theda skocpol is posted that indicates that hillary’s attitude towards white working class southerners is “screw them” you attribute it to “cds”
thanks, really.
I’ll go back to my hero worship now.
So much for offering an olive branch, Susan…
Yes, saint hillary has been above reproach…who is she Jesus or something?
“hen a first hand account from theda skocpol is posted that indicates that hillary’s attitude towards white working class southerners is “screw them” you attribute it to “cds””
Oh stevee. you’re just naive, elitist, overeducated, and uneducated. and you’re deranged.
have a lobotomy, you’ll feel better.
/snark.
This whole thing reminds me of an old saying concerning interservice rivalry in the military. To paraphrase: McCain is our opponent but(insert Obama or Hillary here) is the enemy.
