It’s becoming increasingly obvious that the AP has a specific agenda with this election.
Too bad for readers that, just when newsrooms are cutting staff and filling in the spaces with more AP copy, the AP becomes even more unreliable - and believe me, it wasn’t all that reliable to begin with. As a copy editor, I had to constantly correct their pieces.

The AP’s bias is a huge problem and danger.
It has arguably more influence than the NYT, and certainly more than the WSJ. And yet there has been little outcry over its becoming a right-wing propaganda medium masquerading as an impartial news gatherer.
There used to be three major US wire services — Associated Press, United Press, and the International News Service. Now we have only one.
Who owns the AP?
Is it economically independent, or part of a conglomerate?
