And it seems she’s getting no recognition, where other artists of that era are getting all kinds of recognition these days. She was treated badly her whole life and still we treat her badly. She made the way passable for so many of today’s artists of the female persuasion. I miss her too. I almost saw her perform in person at the then Boston Garden.

My favorite was “Cry, cry, baby”. Yep, I miss her. And Hendrix, too—among so many others like Lennon and Sam Cooke!
