  1. 1975’s ‘Blood on the Tracks’. Said Dylan, “A lot of people tell me they enjoy that album. It’s hard for me to relate to that. I mean, it, you know, people enjoy that type of pain, you know?” The songs ‘Desolation Row’ and ‘Masters of War’ are much less painful. But ‘Quinn the Eskimo’ and ‘Gotta Serve Somebody’ are Essential Bob Dylan.

  2. i had this album on a cassette backed with warren zevon’s eponymous album. it was my depression tape. still two of my fave albums ever.
