Several years ago I received a similiar billing for spinal surgery. I had some insurance, but it only paid like 90%, or something. So, I called the hospital to work out a “payment plan”. After the nice lady at the other end of the phone kindly informed me that they would “except” $1000.00 a month for 38 months, I told her to kiss my ass. I sent a dollar a week for about 2 years, and finally they just stopped sending me any bills at all. Wonder why?
