Quote of the day

“Gun control supporters have the blood of little children on their hands. Federal and state laws combined to insure that no teacher, no administrator, no adult had a gun at the Newtown school where the children were murdered. This tragedy underscores the urgency of getting rid of gun bans in school zones.”

— Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America, responding to Friday’s tragedy.

  1. I woke up about 2:30 this morning and couldn’t get back to sleep for quite awhile. I kept thinking about the Roberts’ court, the will of the conservajustices allow pretty free wheeling gun laws, and Iwondered how John Roberts reconciled his political stands with his Catholic faith.

Especially the bit about cherishing life over choice, but also being big on the death sentence.

I figure he has at least a huge sin of commission on weighing down his soul, and probably sins of omission in doing nothing to prevent the kinds of killings we see every so often.

Too bad I don’t believe in hell…. He’ll probably have a lovely, well fincanced life on earth, and he will just die as all do, with the evil he did living after him.

  2. Somehow, I suspect that the USSC public gallery is a “gun free zone”.

Perhaps it’s time to change that.

  3. Larry Pratt is a true visionary.
I think that all kids should be given guns once they are old enough to be enrolled in kindergarten.

If that had happened, Adam Lanza would have been stopped in his tracks, even before he shot his mother.

I trust that ALEC is working on some good model legislation even as we speak.
