Why I’m glad the Ravens won

Now just because they’re a scrappy blue-collar city like Philly, but because of this:

Since I could have rationalized support for the 49ers because they beat the Pack and thus Green Bay would look better if they went on to win, and also Kaepernick was born in Milwaukee (of biracial parents, both very althetic and both about 6’2″, and the mother wanted to place her son with a good family after she realized she couldn’t manage raising him and had tried for about 5 months — if I remember what I read in Wiki correctly), I would have been OK with their winning.

But, I really wanted Baltimore to have the pleasure of a winning team. A city that can use good news and a lift.

So, when the Ravens were taking over the game in the first half I was pleasantly surprised. I was also glad to see a real game up until the very end. No blow out.

    Very nice.

Did you see these anti-gay comments from Chris Culliver of the 49ers?
