I think it is a kind of nihilism. The status quo sucks for a lot of people. They remember 10 years ago as not sucking for them nearly as much. And all the dems can offer is more of the same, and maybe slowing down the slide into suckinees. But their first priority is more “free trade” deals and smarter privatization schemes, sorry I mean public-private partnership schemes like charter schools and obamacare. They don’t care that it was the bushies who made things get worse than ten years ago. They just get this fuck it look in their eyes when they contemplate voting for trump.
I still haven’t seen any sign that Hillary gets it or will do anything differently than Obama or Bill. So if trump doesn’t win I think in four years there will be someone else like him who probably will win.
If you read the platform or followed her campaign policies, she doesn’t support the TPP and she has come out against for-profit charter schools and the rest of the “reform” agenda.
