Good for Levine and Ames for shining a spotlight on another propagandist for the 1%. NPR’s problems are legion when it comes to “balanced journalism.” Meaning that like other so-called neutral opinion outlets, C-SPAN comes to mind, they lean far too heavily on right wing talking heads to press the Capitalist (1%) agenda (pov) in their programming. Everyone knows that FOX News(?) is nothing more than a Republican propaganda operation. But lots of people are fooled into believing that the NPR’s and C-SPAN’s of this world offer a balanced approach to the issues of the day when they do not.
Thanks for sharing this. I’d had a favorable impression about Planet Money based on that 2008 “This American Life” podcast. I guess PM went downhill fast. At best, Adam Davidson sounds like he started taking himself way too seriously.
