It’s been snowing since I got up, so I’m in a good mood.
It’s not “real” snow. It’s the kind that only lays on cars and lawns, but it’s daytime and I get to see it, which always makes me happy. But I’m worried that this year’s snowfall here is less than two inches. This means a long hot summer with more drought. Thanks, oil companies and politicians!

Enjoy while you can. Here in the wild west, we’re enjoying the first real rain and snow in ages today. Still not nearly enough to offset the driest 24 months period in 117 years (as long as they’ve been keeping records). Lakes are at about 13% of capacity; and it looks like another hellacious wildfire season ahead from Mexico to the Dakotas, Arizona to Illinois.
