Republicans are such lovely people. Good Christians, too:
Congress returns next week to a nightmarishly short calendar during which they must pass a host of bills to keep the government running, including the reauthorization of the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) which provides health coverage to millions of children in low-income families and expires on Sept. 30.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Republicans may attempt to use the CHIP deadline as a vehicle to revive their effort to chip away at the Affordable Care Act, and could try to attach amendments to the bill to reauthorize its funding.
Congressional sources told the Wall Street Journal that Republicans are in particular looking at linking a repeal of Obamacare’s medical device tax to CHIP. Other lawmakers are considering amendments that would stabilize Obamacare’s marketplaces, fearing that a standalone bill to do so would either not pass Congress or would draw a presidential veto.

Which political party, the Republican or Democratic, wants to “stabilize Obamacare’s marketplaces?”
Because both parties buy into Capitalism and the so-called “free market” economic system, they both want to “stabilize Obamacare’s marketplaces” in order to shovel billions of our tax dollars into the pockets of the oligarch’s who operate the health insurance industry.
We don’t need the Electoral College, and we don’t need to guarantee for-profit, health insurance companies a “stable marketplace” or even their survival.
Back to basics — Repubs are big on lowering the number of voters for Dems. They also want to see fewer people counted in the upcoming census in states and areas more inclined to vote Democratic (especially if those Democrats are of the FDR vein). The importance of making people afraid to even take part in the census is to decrease the proportion of left/Dem voters.
The importance on messing up or removing health care for children and others needing assitance to afford health insurance is simply getting rid of those who be more likely to die.
And it all falls in with making voter registration more difficult, making voting more difficult, etc.
Repression. Along with a bit of Hurry Up and Die
C’mon, we’ve all watched this scene a thousand times. You give the psychotic mobsters, in this case Republicans, what they demand and they still shoot the hostages or push them out a window, or feed them to sharks. Just to show what total psychotic assholes they are.
