Smoke and flames rise during a fire at the landmark Notre-Dame Cathedral in central Paris. The cathedral's spire was engulfed in flames before tumbling over.

It’s unfortunate that Notre Dame Cathedral was so severely damaged by fire.
Nobody likes to see any historic buildings burn.
Fortunately, the majority of the faux-Christian relics inside were saved.
Like an outdated McDonalds, the Cathedral will be rebuilt and emerge better then before.
Most collective memories end up as myths containing small grains of fact.
Looks like a lot of the stained glass has survived. Stories are conflicting at the moment.
