Not quite the same, but I got to the Troubadour early, while Shawn Colvin (ca. “Fat City”) was still soundchecking and got a performance of “Shotgun Down The Avalanche” all to myself (well, and the guy at the mixer too). And got her to autograph my “Fat City” booklet, too.
I love Shawn. I took a friend to her first Philadelphia show at the TLA and afterward he said, “I was surprised that a girl could play guitar that well.” *smack*
