  2. The Chinese are correct. The world should make every effort to de-Americanize relationships.

    After all, our approach to every problem is to either carpet bomb it, or use drones. And funnel all the money to the 1% using such institutions as the World Bank and the IMF. And spy 24/7 on every conceivable communication looking for signs of dissent.

    Because freedom.

  3. The Chinese have been calling for less reliance on the U.S. Dollar as the international reserve currency for the past decade. The only real difference this time is that because of the looming and neverending debt ceiling crisis, other countries of the world that have ignored China so far are more likely to start to agree.
