Yeah, and I wrote “The Catcher in the Rye.”
The efforts to make George Bush appear to be an intellectual heavyweight are hilarious. Now he’s supposedly writing op-eds for newspapers, which until recently he was proud that he didn’t even read.
Content-wise, the op-ed he supposedly wrote contains exactly zero surprises. He talks about balancing the federal budget without mentioning that he was handed a balanced budget when he took office, mentions No Child Left Behind without mentioning what a failure that is, and mentions the USA PATRIOT Act (let’s not forget it’s a clever acronym) without mentioning what an affront it is to the principles upon which this great nation was founded.

No Child Left Behind that was co-written by Ted Kennedy? Both sides can equally share in that failure.
“I believe that wealth does not come from government.”
No, it merely flows to government officials.
I don’t think it’s a good thing for me to read this.
Hey, I got thinking. Some future president will have to go to W’s funeral.
what will that person find to say?
re: what will that person find to say?
His dogs loved him. Unfortunately, he wasn’t part of The Greatest Generation, so Tom Brokaw won’t be able to deliver a teary eulogy that ignores his actual record but focuses instead on what kind of person he was to have as a professional acquaintance.
No Child Left Behind that was co-written by Ted Kennedy? Both sides can equally share in that failure.
This is either naive or disingenuous.
It’s not just the text of the law, it’s also its
funding, implementation, and administration,
all of which were fully under Repub control.
Neil “Silverado” Bush is one of the direct beneficiaries of NCLB as implemented.
