Quote of the Day

“This is a really tough decision. War may well be the right decision at this point. In fact, I think it–it’s–it–it probably is.”
~Joe Klein on the February 22, 2003 episode of Meet the Press.
While this may strike the average reader as an example of something altogether different than opposition to the war in Iraq, the average reader lacks the depth and sophistication that is the sum of noted turd Joe Klein’s knowledge. Just ask Joe. He’s quite certain that he’s opposed the Iraq war since some unspecified date in 2002. If you can’t follow that chronology, Joe would likely tell you that you’re both naive and illiberal.

The issue is simultaneity, not chronology. Joe has opposed the war, and supported the war, all along.

Good clarification Dog. Thanks. My mind slows just a little more each day.
… And by being both for and against, he’s always right.
Journalism — gotta love it.
(Of course, he’s also always wrong. But more to the point — he’s always highly compensated.)
