Do you agree that the rich aren’t paying their fair share of taxes?
Edwards: People that have done well need to do more. Roll back Bush tax cuts.
Biden: Honor work, not wealth.
Obama: Are we willing to make the investments in genuine opportunity in this country? What people really want is fairness. They want people to pay their fair share.
Kucinich: Offshoring by companies, tax dollars being spent on war. Wealthy need to pay fair share, companies pay taxes here.
Gravel: You won’t live to see changes in this tax system while you live. Wipe out the income tax, it’s corrupting our society. A sales tax where we’ll know what everyone is paying. (”I loike having a crazy guy up there,” a blogger says.)
Dodd: We need tax policy that’s much more fair. I’d like to see us reward companies that stay in our inner cities. (Isn’t that what enterprise zones and tax abatements do?)
Hillary: Take the cap off earnings for payroll taxes.
Biden: Burden was taken off investors and put on working people. Need to shift that back. Oh no, Biden’s making sense!
Richardson: roll back Bush tax cuts, replace them with tax cuts for the middle class.
