Perhaps that’s meant in the sense of, “For those killed, it was a once in a lifetime event…”

Ah c’mon! In and around Philly, over the period from about 1995 to 2000, we had THREE “blizzards of the century”!

It should have been on a t-shirt, I tell you:
“I survived
the
BLIZZARD
of the
CENTURY

Three times!”

(don’t recall the exact dates now)

So I wouldn’t discount the power of media hype.
