  1. Despite what speaker pelosi told us would not happen, the leadership of the Democratic Party is playing politics with the impeachment process.

“Impeachment,” Rep. Gerald Connolly (D-VA) said yesterday, “is a perilous course.”

Rather then doing their Constitutional duty, pelosi and her Democratic leadership cadre have chosen to ignore their Constitutional responsibilities in favor of not losing votes in the 2020 election and being booted from office.

The Democrats claim that the Republicans suffered a heavy political price for impeached Clinton 228-206 in December 1998.

In the November 1998 election, which was held during the impeachment process, Republicans lost 0 seats in the Senate and remained in control 55-45.
They lost 4 seats in the House but kept control with 227 seats.

Where is the horrible political damage to the Republicans that pelosi and the Democrats keep talking about?

After the 2000 election the Senate was tied at 50-50 and the House remained in Republican control.

In the 2002 Bush became the president and the Republicans picked up 2 seats in the Senate and regained control 51-49.
Republicans in the House gained 8 seats and kept control.

Where is all the Republican political damage that the Democrats keep telling us they suffered after impeaching Clinton 228-206 in 1998?

Perhaps the Democrats are lying to us………again?
