I happen to feel the same way. Ambassador Joe Wilson:
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is one of the few who fully understood the stakes in that battle. Time and again, she reached out to my wife - outed CIA officer Valerie Plame Wilson - and me to remind us that as painful as the attacks were, we simply could not allow ourselves to be driven from the public square by bullying. To do so would validate the radical right’s thesis that the way to win debates is to demonize opponents, taking full advantage of the natural desire to avoid confrontation, even if it means yielding on substantive issues. Hillary knew this from experience, having spent the better part of the past 20 years fighting the Republican attack machine.

Getting Joe Wilson’s endorsement is pretty impressive, imo. And Plame is another strong woman the wingers tried to destroy.
So we’re supporting Clinton because she has been attacked by the right?
Surely Joe and his wife are to be admired for their stand against the Bush regime, but I think he is dead wrong on this issue.
I personally think (and polls suggest) that McCain will prevail over Clinton in November. If that scenario comes to pass, there will be more Joe Wilsons and Valerie Plames tossed under the bus in support of McCain’s 100 year war effort; not to mention the costs in lives and dollars.
What are you talking about? I’m quoting this in response to the people who are trying to force Clinton out of the race. She should stay in as long as she wants to.
Actually, this attribute is one of those that I do admire about the Clintons. They’re fighters and they’re in it to win. If I wanted a quitter to lead the party, I’d back Reid or Pelosi.
Senator Clinton is right to encourage the Wilson’s to continue the fight. What has Senator Clinton done in the Senate to help?
And by the way, endorsing the war at its inception seems to say that she believed the Bush administration more than Joe Wilson.
Yep, Yellow cake and all!!
It’s getting so confusing, with no good candidates
in either primary contest.
