Imagine That

Clinton tells supporters not to vote for McCain, making several thousand blogger heads explode:
Clinton was asked by a questioner in the audience here what she would tell frustrated Democrats who might consider voting for McCain in the general election out of spite.
“Please think through this decision,” Clinton said, laughing and emphasizing the word “please.”
“It is not a wise decision for yourself or your country.”
The crowd applauded loudly.
…”First of all, every time you have a vigorous contest like we are having in this primary election people get intense,” she continued. “You know, Sen. Obama has intense support. I have intense support.”
Clinton stressed that there are “significant” differences between her and Obama, but said “those differences pale to the differences between us and Sen. McCain.”
“I intend to do everything I can to make sure we have a unified Democratic party,” she said. “When this contest is over and we have a nominee, we’re going to close ranks, we’re going to be united.”

You lefties will never run out of topics to write about
This speech sounds suspiciously like Susie’s post from a day or two ago! Now we see that it is HRC getting signals in her brain from Susie and NOT vice versa!
that’s because we have brains and we’re always thinking.
I will not vote for Obama. If he is the nominee I will vote for a Democratic Administration for Hillary to work with.
Brendan - I fixed your typos. I am sure you meant to say this:
“That’s because DEMS have BIG MOUTHS and are always BITCHING AND COMPLAINING THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD DO MORE AND MORE FOR US.”
This really shows what a great candidate Senator Clinton is. Thank you.
I’ve already had my vote, but the nominee is not yet decided. Once Democrats all over the country have had their say, I’ll be behind the nominee 100% — even it if is hard for me to imagine voting for one of them at the moment.
When the time comes, if it happens to be Senator Obama I hope you’ll be able to join me ClareA.
As long as Obama and his supporters keep comparing Clinton to Tonya Harding, that becomes a little less likely every day.
Wendy, you’re making a common mistake of confusing “Democrats” with “lefties”. The existence of Bush Dogs and Blue Dogs shows that there are plenty of conservative Democrats (and speaking of, has anyone else received the robo-mail from Pat Leahy and Wes Clark asking for help to save Mary Landrieu’s seat? Yeah, that Mary Landrieu, who supports the war and warrantless wiretapping…)
I like my original better.
Honestly, my head would have would have exploded only had she ended by telling potential Democratic McCain voters “You suck. Knock it off. Stop sucking already.”
“I intend to do everything I can to make sure we have a unified Democratic party,”
Yea. Right.
One way or another, it’s blowin’ up……..
ahhh, still looking for that excuse…
See “when this contest is over.”

i rest my case
I still say Obama should resign for the good of the party.
Minor, but important point:
I don’t think OB personnaly compared hrc to Tonya Harding.
Surrogates likely did and msm has picked up a rather point-on comparison. Can’t say it is any worse than mr.hrc comparing OB to Jesse Jackson…
but we’re over that and enjoying the lovely view of the Alps…
