Piss and moan.
Keeping a jaundiced eye on the corporate media.
You are a Working Class Warrior, also known as a blue-collar Democrat. You believe that the little guy is getting screwed by conservative greed-mongers and corporate criminals, and you’re not going to take it anymore.

“Piss & moan” makes me think of a bladder infection.
Heh. Me too.
my computer at work is such an antiquated piece of shit that I have to keep Outlook closed if I want to get any work done. That’s because every time I get email, the entire system freezes up for about 2-5 minutes as the system syncs up, loads the email, and then opens it. this is true whether there’s a large attachment or whether there’s only a little bit of text. Furthermore, everytime I go from word or excel to outlook, it takes about 5 minutes for outlook to actually put itself together on the screen: first the upper left corner appears; then a minute later the upper right corner appears; then all the toolbar text appears.
And god forbid I have excel open at the same time as word.
The non-profit sector: gotta love it…
Your boss needs to call NPower. They help non-profits with their technology for cheap, sometimes even free.

as the IT Director for a non-profit, I can tell you that technology requires money or intelligence and it’s as hard to get the intelligence as it is to get money.
I presently have a pile of iMac’s that were donated and am using them as thin clients off an LTSP server which means that things are reasonably fast. My LTSP server is a Dell Optiplex 320 which I got from Dell for $520 including keyboard and 19 inch LCD and I can run 4 iMacs from the server.
Getting it all set up though did require some experimentation.
As long as this is an open thread, I do want to sound off how incredibly difficult it is to include a link on your blog Susie…almost every time I do, it ends up being rejected as spam.
Otherwise, love your blog
I don’t think it gets rejected, it gets held for approval.
some do get held and I do notice that you approve them but some simply get blocked and I give up.
white_n_az, are you still getting blocked using the sign in I made for you? Let me know, because that really shouldn’t be happening and I’ll need to make adjustments. Just as a general explanation, we have a huge spam problem on this site. You can look at the bottom of the page to get some idea of the number of blocked attempts that happen every week. Right now the one piece of spam software is reading 96197 blocked attempts in the last week, which is pretty high. In fact, that roughly three times the number of legitimate comments which have been left on this site since it moved to Wordpress a few years ago. We just can’t be as loose as we’d like to be.
Speaking of funny (we’re we?)…

Chris,
If I try to include a tag - any href, it is typically blocked at spam…in fact, I will try it now…
