Not a summer song per se, but this will always be one in my mind. Watching Ed Hurst’s “Live from Steel Pier” as a kid, I remember them showing live shots of the surfers while this song played - the same song, I’d like to remind you, that no less a songwriting authority than Brian Wilson calls “the perfect song.”
