My brother gave me Sgt. Pepper’s for Christmas when I was 11 or 12. All of the tunes from that record still feel like Christmas songs to me. Context is a funny thing.

Sgt. Pepper will always be D.C. in the height of summer for me; Rubber Soul is the Christmas album. And there is a short days long night feel to much of it, such as Norwegian Wood and In My Life. Even though they were doubtless recorded months earlier.
Thanks Henry. Rubber Soul is special to me as well. No specific dates or events, but countless hours of singing You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away to myself as a very shy teenager probably counts for something. Or is that tune from Help?
To me, Sgt. Pepper is summer in California.
Amazing how it’s so many different things to different people.
