This is pretty funny. I recently got back in touch with an old friend and she asked me to email her. Now, as long as I’ve known her, I’ve gotten her email address wrong. (I keep thinking she’s Yahoo when she’s Hotmail.)
Well, I ended up having an extended email exchange with some other woman who has the same name - who also has a friend named Susan. I was so confused by the things she was saying, she finally said, “Who are you?”
That’s when I realized my mistake. (That, and the picture she sent me of her new horse.)
That’s funny. A few years ago I emailed some gift certificates to my daughter at Christmas time for her, her husband, and their kids. I did the same thing you did, sending them to someone with the same name but to Earthlink not Hotmail. Wow, that could have been an expensive mistake. Luckily, the recipient was honest and kindly sent them back to me. Christmas was saved!
