Today is the two-year anniversary of my father’s death, and it made me think of Doris Day, which my dad used to threaten us with all the time. I never told him I actually kinda liked her:

Every day there is that missing part of us. Anniversaries especially so. Here’s a long distance virtual hug Susie.
My old man was forever threatening to break out with a bad imitation of Gordon McCrea ’s Oh What A beautiful Morning. Heh, I later threatened my son with the same song. Made sure he knew what it was before the threats were effective.
I liked her too…but for different reasons. ‘Something’ inside of me told me ‘gay icon, gay icon’!!!
