Interesting article…. We have star pandas in Atlanta complete with a “web cam.”
So interesting that we crossed the line by using “the cute animals” to attract interest in wildlife and nature to “tabloid news.”
Panda Kardashians….too funny!
A good friend who’s a biologist and I have been having this discussion for a decade. He refers to the showcase animals you see in the TV ads as ‘charismatic species.’ Polar bears, wolves, bald eagle, cranes. Anyone remember the Jemez salamander, neither do I.
