I love that song, because that is such an ironic line. These days, we are never blinded by science. We ignore it.
Until the amount of energy we can throw at a situation begins to decline. Which is right about now, and will continue off and on for the next 200-300 years.
Then we will wonder where this thing called “overshoot” came from.
