The U.S. policy of “targeted assassination” by drones must be stopped. This obscene and illegal practice has been in effect for a dozen years. It copies an Israeli program that began in the 1950′s. It’s a disgusting military tactic that clearly violates international law protecting human rights. Brennan knows that. Obama knows that. With Petreaus as the Director of the CIA the drone program would have continued to expand. Brennan will not only shrink the drone program but he will also begin to end and reverse the militarization of the CIA.

Expecting morals from a CIA director is like expecting a shih-tsu to read Shakespeare, aloud, in Basque.

It can be plausibly argued that the CIA runs our country.
My question is whether the CIA Director actually runs that organization, or whether the organization follows the dictates of internal cliques.

Although ‘who’ actually runs the CIA is an interesting question, what the CIA is doing or will be doing is where the action is. Obama claims that he trusts Brennan. That’s a question that will eventually be answered by Obama himself. If Obama winds up in the same condition that Kennedy did then we’ll all know the answer to that question as well.
