What the Hagel is the “Jewish Lobby” (neo-cons) up to? Whoever the “Jewish Lobby” opposes is a “friend of ours.” Any Democratic Senator who comes out in opposition to or votes against Chuck Hagel for Defense Secretary is in the hip pocket of the “Jewish Lobby”…….AIPAC. The financial and political connections of those Senators to the State of Israel should be throughly investigated. With its extensive ties to our Congresspeople the “Jewish Lobby” exerts undue influence on how American foreign policy is conducted.

I’ve never been a Hagel fan. To tell the truth though, after seeing the villager wolf pack smell blood, I’d be inclined to reevaluate. But watching our current political kabuki, I feel like I’m being manipulated to support someone I’d otherwise prefer under the bus.

    “Jewish Lobby”?
What’s that, a group that lobbies on behalf of Jews?
Or a group of Jews that lobbies?
Or the foyer of a synagogue?

This sounds pretty tin-eared to me, if not downright anti-Semitic.

Maybe you meant to say Israel Lobby?

“Anyone the Beltway elite hates this much has gotta be good.”

And anyone Obama can support has got to suck rancid fromunda.

As far as the Israel and military/industrial lobbies (lobby? I’m sure there is a lot of overlap), I would say that if they can kill this nomination, then that will reinforce their auras of invincibility in DC, and if they lose, the invincibility factor is at stake.

It would be nice if the won the nomination, and then dropped dead. Otherwise I don’t see a win/win for me.
