So the wildlife trappers are here, banging their ladders against the roof as they install the one-way traps on the eaves openings. It will be so nice not to hear squirrels chewing away at my living room ceiling. (Bastards.)

This works like a charm. Also. My brother, who had squirrels in his attic after they chewed big holes in the fascia, researched what to do. He did not want to use poisons of any kind, or deal with traps. He read about the strobes, which seemed like the way to go. He hired an electrician to install one of these Evictor strobe lights in the attic, with an on/off switch on the wall below and outside the attic access door in the hallway. Within a day or two he stopped hearing the squirrels racing above the ceiling. But he left the strobe going for (as I recall) two weeks or so, just to make sure, and then had a contractor come and seal up the holes in the fascia. That thing is slick! If he ever hears animals up there again, he just flicks the switch. You might ask the trappers to install one of these…oh wait, then you wouldn’t have to call them up periodically to set and reset and reset and reset and reset traps…oh.
I should add, that was six years ago, and he’s not had any squirrel invasions since, nor have had to turn on the strobe.
Persistent little buggers aren’t they? But look on the bright side, at least its not skunks nesting under the house 🙂
