   What’s sad about our society is that her outfit no longer is NC-17. No, something like that would never have been on TV when I was a kid. And I’m really glad that was the case. I truly can’t imagine what it would be like to grow up as a woman now. Sexism and the ridiculous expectations of beauty at the expense of all else would just be overwhelming. Yes, it’s way way way worse now because it’s accepted as mainstream. It’s like swearing and disrespect – this is what kids see on TV as cute and funny so it’s what they do in real life. None of that would have been tolerated in any community from kids years ago. Our culture is tough on kids and their parents – we don’t make it easy for them.

   I don’t recall any outrage when Tina Turner preformed at the Super Bowl in virtually the same costume……
