Reminds one of the takedown by the Los Angeles Police Department of the Symbionese Liberation Army way back when?
There is no question in my mind that Dorner was a dangerous nutter, but there are two other things I do not question: his accusations against fellow police officers, which were so widely and repeatedly reported as having been false, were whitewashed by the police review board just as Dorner claimed and the police intended to execute him regardless of the circumstances under which he was run to ground. When they shot up that truck that looked like his even though it contained two women, it was clear they were going to kill anything or anyone that looked remotely like being connected to Dorner in any way. Dorner was nuts, but the LAPD is as bad as he described.
Absolutely, war came to CA and there was never, ever gonna be a trial for this guy.
