Guess we’re in for some more pious platitudes about cutting Social Security so the elderly have “some skin in the game.” But don’t worry, they’re going to do it “in a balanced way.” The president said so.
Since this group of phonies won’t have anything to say about this I will. How amazing is this? And it’s all Obama’s fault. Last month (January for those who are not paying attention) the US treasury had a $3 billion dollar surplus. On January 1st taxes were raised on the top 1%, and the Social Security tax holiday ended. The result? The government took in more money than it spent. $3 billion dollars more. In the first month. Proving once again that the Republicans are all liars who couldn’t care less about promoting the “general welfare” of “we the people.” Also in January retail sales were up .1%. The Republicans got that wrong too. Thank you Mr. Obama.
I just can’t figure why they think elderly didn’t have “skin in the game” all along…..
But but … sputter … sputter … these are the same jackasses who didn’t bother to put the oh-so-necessary Iraq War in the budget. I’m supposed to take them seriously?
