I wish I could say I’m surprised but how can I. It seems that we hear daily of another officer involved shooting of a kid, a smart-mouth teen, an old person, someone handicapped or mentally unstable, or someone who didn’t look like the suspect or drive a car similar to a suspect, but just happened to be in range. It’s obvious that it’s SOP for police in the US to shoot first and CYA later. I come from a law enforcement family and know first hand the stress police suffer knowing the next door that opens or next person with whom you come face to face could be your last, but jeezuz it seems that cops automatically assume danger from everyone that they see Wii controllers as guns and everyone as a target of opportunity.
