you know, I don’t even know what to say here. It can’t be stupidity: no one is THAT stupid that they couldn’t have predicted the republicans would try the hostage-taking strategy again. So i have to assume the democrats actually WANT these cuts.
They are assholes of the highest order, and yet another reason I will be voting Green in 2012 and beyond (as imperfect as that party may be).
After a vibrant life, Joe Bageant died yesterday following a four-month struggle with cancer. He was 64. Joe is survived by his wife, Barbara, his three children, Timothy, Patrick and Elizabeth, and thousands of friends and admirers. He is also survived by his work and ideas.
According to Joe’s wishes, he will be cremated. His family will hold a private memorial service.

With an empty suit in the Oval Office and a Senate leadership without a pair among the group. I voted Green in 2010 and will again.
