Over the past 30 years the average income and wealth of Americans has been on the decline. When wages do not keep up with increasing prices (inflation) and increased productivity (wealth), it results in a shrinking economy, higher unemployment, and the concentration of wealth at the top. More money in the hands of workers will grow the economy, reduce unemployment and shrink the concentration of wealth at the top. You can redistribute wealth using the mechanism of taxation which is very inefficient but the preferred vehicle of politicians. Or you can increase the wages of workers which is what the OWS folks have in mind.
We are at Wall Street, and Wall Street controls our government, and we would like the people to control it.
I’m curious. What will the people do when they get it?
