Hah

I thought this was symbolic of a typical journalism mindset: The storm that blew through the Philadelphia suburbs last night knocked down so many trees and blocked so many roads, it was hard to get around.

So the local reporters covered the towns closest to their offices and homes. Makes sense, right? Except the towns that got hardest hit barely got mentioned because they couldn’t get to them!

There’s a moral in there somewhere.

  1. still plenty of roads blocked in my town. and i’m wondering how long it will take a tree guy to come and take care of the one that fell in my yard. of course it’s the neighbor’s tree, um, the neighbor’s landlord’s tree so i figure it could be there a long time.
