Credit Card Companies

Now they want to punish you for NOT running up any late fees!

“The only true deadbeat customer is someone who has a card and never uses it,” said Curtis Arnold, who runs the credit comparison site CardRatings.com. “Just having good credit alone in today’s market is not enough for that customer to be profitable.”

  1. The credit issuers will eventually kill credit, won’t they? It’s an odd thing to say, but I’m glad I’m poor.

  2. It’s not just credit cards. The phone company, the electric, gas, they all have surcharges that charge you for NOT using their product. Somehow (heh, yeah right) they’ve convinced the so-called public regulatory folks that it’s appropriate for them to charge you a ‘basic’ amount whether you actually use credit, gas or electric. And people wonder why there’s a teabagger movement.

  3. PS: it’s like campaigns to encourage consumers to use less electricity, gas etc. When you do, they add a surcharge that ensures you never see a penny saved for your sacrifice. I would love to see an honest discussion of this practice just once in the corporate media.
