I’m glad they rioted. Every single time this happens, the powers that be should be just a little more scared. This has been going on a really long time, but it’s so rare that a cop who shoots a civilian is convicted, it’s as if they have an alternate justice system that only acquits, or at best, hands out minimum sentences:

More than 100 people were arrested after a rally billed as a tribute to the victim, Oscar Grant, turned into a march through the downtown area, where people broke car and bus windows. Some carried a banner reading “Justice for Oscar Grant.”
