I miss them. You’d tune in because you used to see the craziest combinations of stuff (Merv Griffin’s lineup, for instance) and you never knew what you’d see – like this:

Good grief. Where do you find this stuff? Wow. Peter, Paul and Mary was the first LP I ever bought.
And then, on the Lawrence Welk Show, there was the country girl in lacy pinafore, being pushed on a swing, sing a duet of what announcer called “one of the newer songs”… ONE TOKE OVER THE LINE.
Don’t take my word for it. Go to youtube and key in “welk one toke”. It’s surreal.
