Great song. Also used as title of Lewis Burwell Puller Jr.’s memoir of his “healing” from his horrific injuries in Viet Nam, well worth a read. It ends on an upbeat note. His life, alas, did not. Chesty Puller’s son never had a chance at a normal life or lifespan, but he gave it his best shot, so to speak….
