In this outtake from Alive Inside, we meet an elderly man who’s been in a nursing home for 10 years, and who is disengaged, listless and unresponsive to his environment. Then he is exposed to music from his earlier life, and is instantly transformed, engaging with the people around him. Oliver Sacks provides commentary in the clip, which is inspirational and amazing at the same time.
