Why would the 1% ever want to pay off the national debt. They make billions every year from the taxpayer paid interest payments on that debt. The further into debt the 99% goes, the wealthier the 1% gets. That’s why our Congress spends (borrows) $1 trillion dollars every year on the defense budget. Then the ‘private’ Federal Reserve Bank prints all the money that it takes to cover what the Congress appropriates. Which causes inflation so that the debt becomes less expensive to pay back. The 1% have “We the People” standing in a circular firing squad which they supply the guns and ammuntion to for a small up-charge (profit). Ready, aim, fire.
