The nutjob fringes of the far right Christian Fundamentalist who still hold to the religious beliefs of the entire ‘Manifest Destiny’ tenets would seem to be at least partly responsible for the ongoing nature of violence and bigotry towards anyone of color, or, for that matter, anyone who loves someone of the same sex, etc.(Blacks, Native Americans, Jews, Latinos, and anyone else all be damned).
